Ever since the MIT used the first ever computer password in 1961, information security has come a long way. With data encryption, firewalls, and deep package inspection, numerous security measures have been established over the last couple of decades with the amount of security efforts constantly increasing.
Nevertheless, with new technologies entering our everyday lives on a daily basis, new challenges around keeping our digital devices safe arise in an ongoing manner.
Especially with the ongoing rise of the Internet of Things, security concerns around the potentially billions of connected devices are growing rapidly. In our opinion this also means that it is increasingly important to listen to consumers and understand what the overall perception of information security really is. This is why we are interested in what you think and would love to hear your opinion in our WATTx consumer study.
