Newsletter

WATTx issues its own newsletter in order to provide up-to-date information about our work.

We send the newsletter using the double opt-in process, i.e. we only send you the newsletter by email once you have clicked on a link in an email we send you after registration confirming that we should activate the newsletter service. You then receive another email for your information that expressly confirms your subscription to the WATTx newsletter.

We use the provider MailChimp to send our newsletter. MailChimp is provided by the Rocket Science Group LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404, Atlanta, GA 30318, USA.

The data that was provided during the newsletter registration process will be transmitted to Rocket Science, which will store it. The data entered during registration will not be transferred to third parties. After registration, MailChimp will send you a confirmation email. Furthermore, MailChimp offers various ways to analyse how the newsletter is opened and used once it is sent, e.g. to how many users an email will be sent, whether mails were rejected and whether users unsubscribed from the list after receiving an email. However, these analyses are performed on groups and we do not use them for individual analysis. MailChimp also uses the analysis tool Google Analytics from Google, Inc. and in some cases integrates it into the newsletter. For more information about Google Analytics please refer to our privacy policy section about Google Analytics.

Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is a solution operated by Google Inc., that allows marketed website tags to be managed using an interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not register personal data. The tool causes other tags to be activated which may, for their part, register data under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this information. If recording has been deactivated on domain or cookie level, this setting will remain in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

We may ask for your permission to give certain product data (e.g. your account information) to other Google products in order to activate certain functions, e.g. to simplify the addition of new conversion tracking tags for AdWords. Also our developers may check information on product usage from time to time, in order to further optimize the product. However, we will never send such data to other Google products without your explicit permission.
