Last month, our CEO Bastian Bergmanns presentation was featured during the Industrials, Automation, and IoT section of the NOAH 2017 Conference. The event brought together 3,500 attendees from all over Europe to talk about everything from IoT to mobility to payments to retail to travel.
Following presentations from Siemens, Thyssenkrupp, Klöckner & co, Sigfox, and tado, Bastian shed light on the Age of Automation, which he expands on in his latest blog post. In this new era, incumbent industries are quickly outpaced (and sometimes made obsolete) by nimbler players that are finding new ways to create, analyze, and activate data. WATTx illustrates a new type of entrepreneurial model: a deep tech venture builder that provides the well-rounded, sustained support required to build the risky technologies needed to ride this wave - and an opportunity that enables traditional industry players to invest in this new future.
